  1. WELCOME EVERYONE!
    Welcome to the Dietbattles DIET BLOG. Need help with sticking to your diet? Looking for more than words from expert experienced dieters who have succeeded at weight loss and kept it off?

  2. To be able stick to your diet requires a number of things. First, it’s important to trust that what you’re doing is right. You don’t want to start a diet unless it is going to work for you - right? Staying motivated for 1 week is hard enough, staying motivated for 3, 4 or 6 months - or even a year or years is crazy. So how can anyone accomplish their goals?

  3. Like everyone, I’ve gone on diets - lost weight - and gained it back. Dieting is a struggle for me because I know I’ll just regain the weight unless I change from the inside. Unless I know what to do about changing my thinking and my habits before I diet again there’s no point in starting another diet. I want to be committed to changing and improving my habits or there’s no point in starting a diet.

  4. Doctors, Registered Dietitians and other trustworthy diet and nutrition experts say the same thing about how you’re supposed to diet. Find the right diet for your needs that you can stick to long-term.

  5. Likewise the same experts have found that to control your weight and improve your health you also need to find an exercise regimen or program that you enjoy enough to do routinely.

  6. My problem with the whole diet and exercise thing (I think like most of us) is that it requires me to make a lifestyle change. Lifestyle changes don’t come easy especially as we get older a more set in our ways.  I’m not to old to change so please help.

  7. Finding the right diet is something each of us needs to for ourselves.  This is only one important ingredient in dieting though.  There’s many other things equally important for those of us who want to do more than lose temporarily.
    It’s well established that a good diet an exercise plan that we can stick to too is necessary for weight control as well. Otherwise we’ll “yo-yo” diet until we have no more energy to even try dieting. To accomplish the overall goal of losing weight, then, means we need to change our lifestyles.  It’s not about “dieting” (lowering calories) but about changing several other things about our current life (or rut) too.

  8. Understanding how to make “commitments” and changing our lives & habits is what’s important.  Dietbattles is dedicated to this - to finding how to achieve that personal commitment so that you can truly change your life and achieve what’s really important in weight loss success -PERMANENT WEIGHT LOSS (WEIGHT CONTROL)

  9. I’m tired of “DIETS”,  They’re a ”bandaid” approach that alone don’t work.  It’s time to make “real” changes and do the hard stuff.  Please help me and others by leaving your tips, ideas, website articles, and so forth on how to change, how to teach an old dog new tricks? Let’s change our lifestyle and habits together today!

    Our chief dietitian and MFCC counselor and other professional will be providing responses to dieters issues but peer responses can equal and even be more important - especially those tips and strategies that are practical and do work . Many of us have “been there - done that! ” Please let others benefit from your “know-how” and experience.  Let’s support one another and provide each other “tried-and-true” strategies and tips we can count on.  If we can’t offer something- then lets find someone who can.  How can we ever hope to change ourselves without a personal plan?

    We will provide links to fact based, trustworthy sites & articles that we can all count on to help us make positive lifestyle changes. Please help us make permanent lifestyle changes a reality and provide links or articles.

    A self-help inventory will be provided by PersonalDiets to help you better understand and analyze what might help you personally. Sometimes issues get in the way of our success and our efforts alone are just not enough! This tool will help you understand if you’re in need of outside help.
